Zedu Weekly Wrap – 14 October 2022
Wet, wild and windy down here this week…

seems La Nina is having the last laugh. Or cry. Not to fear though – plenty to keep us cheered in the week of ultrasound news.
Highlights this week include the ongoing gems that come with #Blocktober from Jeff Gadsden (@jeffgadsden) – there’s a block for everyone – interesting research on AI for fetal ultrasound in under-resourced settings from Ryan Gomes (@ryangomes) and his team and MetroHealth Emergency Ultrasound (@MH_EMultrasound) with a video on lung ultrasound for the cadiologist. Plus more – there’s something for everyone.
That’s all from us – see you next week
Suean and Mike
PS – this month’s Coaching Corner on how to choose the right ultrasound machine will be up soon.
P.P.S. – Join the POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues. People from around the world are joining in so come on down.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta! We’re running this internationally recognised course in Australia for the first time in July and October – don’t miss out.
22 – 23 October 2022 and 6 – 7 May 2023

A fun project with an unexpected result. At the start, I would not have predicted that ultrasound would have comparable sensitivity to CXR for the detection of abnormality in TB.
