Zedu Weekly Wrap – 6 September 2024
Welcome to September…
traditionally a busy month for us with people starting to plan the run up to end of year vacations and making sure they are ticking off their ultrasound new year resolutions 🙂
If polishing your scanning skills – from whatever specialty – is on your list of priorities for this year be sure to get in touch as the calendar is filling up fast. Don’t forget there is the option to schedule a program of one-on-one learning if you have specific objectives that sit outside a scheduled course – all with the opportunity to bundle in a system too.
In FOAM news of the week highlights include:
- Marta Bracco (@bracco_marta) reveals that firm probe pressure decreases the measured aortic stiffness in her paper ‘Ultrasound Probe Pressure Affects Aortic Wall Stiffness: A Patient-Specific Computational Study in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms’ (4 September)
- Luke Phillips and team (@lukemphillips) have developed “Recommendations for developing a comprehensive point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) program in the emergency department” (4 September)
- The ASE (@ASE360) have released recommendations for the standardisation of cardiac POCUS nomenclature (3 September)
Off now to get ready for a weekend packed with ultrasound training and online conferencing – busy-busy 🙂
